WCA Athletics: We care. We pursue. We do.

The WCA athletic program is a community committed to developing maturity of mind, body and spirit through the pursuit of excellence and Christ-centered leadership. We have a vision to extend that Christian character and community through the sports we coach and play. We value student athletes and believe that care, accountability and a sense of belonging are critical for balance and progress. Due to our school size, many more students are able to join our sports teams and get to make a contribution to the team. We encourage all our students, no matter what skill level or experience they have in a particular sport, to join, learn, and reap the benefits of team fellowship and physical activity.

WCA competes in the VMAC (Virginia Metropolitan Athletic Conference) in Virginia, as well as with other VISAA (Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association) teams throughout the state. We are proud to be the home of the 2012 boys and girls Division III basketball state champions, as well as state tournament level competition in volleyball and field hockey. Many of our student-athletes continue their athletic careers in college, some at the NCAA Division I, II, or III levels.
