The Arts at Williamsburg Christian Academy

Studies have shown that art and music education stimulate and challenge the brain in a way that boosts capabilities in math and science. Williamsburg Christian Academy offers a variety of arts instruction. Through outlets such as studio art, choral music, strings ensembles, drama or praise band, students have the opportunity to express talents, refine skills, and share their gifts with others.

WCA's student artists are often recognized at art events in the area. Strings students often play at local venues and have even toured in Europe. Vocalists are given multiple opportunities to perform for school events and in the community. A highlight of each school year is WCA's production of a Broadway musical in which actors, technicians, and crew members participate in the full process of theatre, and each fall students are encouraged to audition for and perform in our special Night of Fine Arts evening event, which highlights our students gifts in all ranges of visual, dramatic, musical, and choral arts.

WCA also features its own Student Art Gallery, filled with works from both students as well as donated works of art, all displayed in the western corridor of our 2nd level. We are also blessed to be home to a regular travelling art exhibit from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
